Petone Engineering has moved, and we’re increasing capacity to meet market demand.

After 15 years of fabricating structural steel for seismic upgrade, commercial and large residential construction projects at our old office and factory in Udy Street, Petone, in March 2021 we made the move to a 3,000 square metre workshop located in Seaview, Lower Hutt.

The new premises gives us a lot more room for loading and unloading trucks, storage of stock, fabrication of steelwork, and importantly, the installation of more CNC controlled, automated machinery.

Steelwork being moved by gantry crane in our new factory in Seaview.

This all adds up to the ability to do more jobs and larger jobs, more easily meet our strict quality control standards, and comfortably get steelwork to job sites exactly when the client needs it.

Along with a few other changes, the move to the new premises sees us gearing up for what is looking to be a very busy period for construction and seismic strengthening in the Wellington region.
